Interesting collection of objects and documents on the history of the Serenissima Republic and a very important picture gallery. The first hall contains sculptures by Antonio Canova. The museum of the Italian Risorgimento, situated in the same building, contains various material on the history of Venice in the late 18th century until the annexation to the Kingdom of Italy.
